GoodHEALTH Internal Medicine – Community Health Centers of Burlington

Christine D. Northrup, MD is a board certified physician in Internal Medicine. She received her medical degree at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 1993. She completed her Primary Care Internal Medicine residency training at Fletcher Allen Health Care/ UVM Medical Center in 1996, and then served as Chief Medical Resident. Prior to entering medical school, she worked as an RN, earning her Bachelors Degree in Professional Nursing at UVM. After completing her medical training, she worked for Given Health Care Center, and then entered private practice. She joined GoodHEALTH in May, 2021 after 21 years of private practice in Shelburne. Dr. Northrup’s clinical interests include comprehensive health care, preventive care, and women’s health. She is a lifelong Vermonter who enjoys spending time with her family, reading a good novel, and, to the delight of her daughter, watching superhero movies.  Accepting new patients.

Mark Pitcher, MD graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in 1987, completing his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Vermont in 1991. He was Chief Resident from 1990-1991, and has been part of UVM’s Clinical Faculty since 1990. Dr. Pitcher is an ABIM Board Certified physician with over 25 years of experience in Primary Care Internal Medicine, and has served as the Medical Director for Burlington Health and Rehabilitation since 1995. Currently serves as an associate Medical Director with the VNA Hospice Program, and is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. Dr. Pitcher is a baseball fan who enjoys watching the Yankees.  Not accepting new patients.

Zack Schwartz, MS, NP-C was born in Vermont and raised in Canada. He received his undergraduate degree from McGill University in Montreal and worked in clinical research and international development before moving to the mountains of Vermont in 2005. He received his Master of Science degree in Nursing from UVM focusing on adult health. Prior to joining GoodHEALTH-CHCB, he worked at the University of Vermont Medical Center in cardiology. His clinical interests include cardiovascular health and advocating lifestyle modifications for health promotion and disease prevention. When not in the office, he can be found on the trails either nordic skiing or running, and spending time with his family.  Accepting new patients.

Paulette Thabault, DNP, APRN-BC, JD, FAANP cares for patients with a focus on the treatment of obesity and related chronic illnesses. She is a Professor and Director for the School of Nursing at Norwich University, and has lectured in health care leadership at UVM and Northeastern University. She has consulted on patient-centered and clinical excellence practice innovations and currently serves on the Vermont Board of Nursing, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse sub-committee and is the current Board President of Lund Family Center. She volunteers internationally leading nursing and nurse practitioner students on community health care brigades delivering care to impoverished villages in Nicaragua.  Not accepting new patients.
